Category Reviews

  • RUS 232
    • No discussion needed.

Action: Recertify

  • PS 204
    • Ecampus syllabus is lacking Baccalaureate Core outcomes and statement.

Action: Rorie will indicate recertification upon correction of syllabus to be consistent with the on-campus syllabus.

  • Rorie indicated that there are eight outstanding courses and a few incomplete submissions that will need to be assigned.

Category II

  • HST 325
  • McKenzie indicated that three courses are outstanding; any proposals received after May 1 likely will be held until Fall 2017.

Category Reviews

  • HHS 231 and 241 – courses from last year – Fitness Category
    • 2013 Skills Review – these courses were provisionally recertified – a lot of information was initially missing and most were corrected. They still need to correct the ‘partially fulfills’ statement. It was noted that the instructors may be considering ‘partially fulfills’ since there are two courses that must be taken to fulfill requirements. The term ‘partially fulfills’ will be explained to the instructor.
    • Action: Rorie will indicate that the two PAC courses will be recertified.

Matters Arising

  • McKenzie Huber and Rorie Spill Solberg will meet with the Faculty Senate Executive Committee (EC) on April 7 to discuss issues related to Baccalaureate Core course approvals and expedited approvals for OSU-Cascades and Ecampus courses. Because Alix Gitelman and Dana Sanchez had previously volunteered to also meet with the EC, Vickie Nunnemaker will invite them to participate.
  • Rorie and Heath may try to determine the average time of completion once Category II course proposals reach the BCC. If this is accomplished, it was suggested that this information be included on the website to serve as an advisory for those submitting course proposals.
