The department has further justified the limiting pre-requisites; it is possible to meet the pre-requisite in high school and the level of math means students should have a pre-requisite. It was also determined that there are several other mathematics options for students to take. Based on this information, and that other syllabus issues were addressed, the course was approved.

There is an ecampus component but not ecampus syllabus was provided. The on-campus syllabus mentions a writing assignment but the syllabus does not mention that the assignment needs to be 1,250 words. Discussions are listed as being a part of critical analysis but, on the grading scale, Participation does not seem heavily weighted. How are these discussions addressed in the ecampus portion? Would it be weighted the same?

The ex-officio discussed that ecampus syllabuses go through a lot of revisions during the process and it was suggested that a small report be done at the end of the term to ensure that any changes made still fall in line with Baccalaureate Core requirements.
-
The committee still needs to see the original ecampus syllabus. It will be sent back to address concerns and to request the ecampus syllabus for review before approval.
