 Update on Progress of Status of Appeals in Preamble

Kevin: The revised draft of the Academic Regulations Preamble was sent to the Committee. Overall, it looks good to everyone (a few small revisions were made). Next it goes to the Executive Council/Faculty Senate. It was noted that it might not need an official approval since it is not a change in the AR’s.  

Update on AR 15

There has been some recent questions and concerns concerning the current revised draft of AR15, which Kevin sent to the Committee members on October 12, 20016 (see the September 20, 2016 Minutes). Some people in the Academic Integrity Committee (AIC) feel it should be less specific, but others feel it needs to be specific for students to know exactly what is going to happen and the process (this seems important since it can have serious consequences for students). The ARC will hold off on discussing until after Kevin’s next meeting with the AIC.
