  • The proposal has no budgetary impact – the program is already an option, they are simply looking to break it out into its own program
  • Spreadsheet numbers look good
  • Revenue expense check is negative for three years – is it viable to go forward with that?
    • Are they currently in the negative? If so, what makes them anticipate being positive again by year 4?
      • Chair will ask for rationale for expecting to be cash positive by year 4 and the committee will vote when they have received a response.
  • Is the college underwriting the program?
  • How long has the program been around?
  • What is the projected enrollment?
• Climate Science Undergraduate Major (BS, HBS), Key #684
  • Originally part of Earth Sciences degree – they would like to break it out into its own program, same as Geology.
  • No budgetary impact.
  • Spreadsheet is essentially the same as Geology
  • Also has negative revenue expense check, with an expectation to be positive by year 4.
    • Chair will ask for rationale for expecting to be cash positive by year 4 and the committee will vote when they have received a response.
