Plan for Spring Term

• There is an anticipated lag in proposals while everyone settles into remote teaching/working.
• The committee will meet through Zoom and facilitate email discussions to continue working on proposals.

Update on University Budget Committee Process

• The University Budget Committee will be meeting on Friday to discuss budgeting around the COVID pandemic. They have implemented a tuition freeze on current students. The planned increase will be applied to new students.
• Ecampus is trying to clarify how decisions made by the board will affect the online students. Tuition freeze seems focused primarily on on-campus students. These concerns will be brought to the UBC by the Budgets & Fiscal Planning Committee chair.
• How will the pandemic affect the budget model? How will this affect budget allocations? Some programs and courses are being more heavily affected by the pandemic than others. Most PAC courses cannot be run remotely.
