Report Back from University Budget Advisory Committee

  • Typically, in fall, a lot of the work is about tuition rates.
  • Inflation is about 3.5% - continuing students will see an increase of about that much, incoming students will see an increase at the rate of inflation plus a little more.
  • There has been discussion about whether tuition prices should be charged based on campus, rather than modality. This change is not likely to be made by next fall.
  • Workgroups are looking at differential tuition and the budget model.
  • Student building loan debt fee – supports student fee run buildings. Hasn’t been raised in about 20 years, but many of the buildings need renovations so there is discussion around raising the fee.

Other Business

  • No other business
