Rebecca and Bob will discuss outside of the Curriculum Council a coding plan and confirm prerequisites.

3 to 4 Credit Courses – Susan Shaw, Director, School of Language, Culture, and Society

Susan felt that the motivation to change from 3 to 4-credit courses in the Department of Women Studies was two-fold: (1) course workload and (2) a redistribution of content – a course that was dropped had the curriculum spread to other courses.

MEngr in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management Graduate Option MOU Proposal

Mike Bailey moved to approve the extension of an existing program: the MEng in IE; motion seconded and passed via voice vote.

Mike also moved for the overlap maximum of 9 credits toward undergrad and graduate (double count) AGP (Daniel S).

Tourism and Outdoor Leadership (TOL) Undergraduate Program Review – Michael Gassner and Kreg Lindberg (via phone), Randy Rosenberger

The TOL (Tourism and Outdoor Leadership) Undergraduate Program Review was introduced by Prem. Stefani added comments and invited comments.

Mina will send Vickie a paragraph to attach to the TOL Program Review (the Council cannot edit the review, but may attach a document). Vickie will send to Richard who will send to the Council for discussion and approval.

Mina’s text: “This is an opportunity for FES and TOL faculty to review TOL course offerings with an eye to eliminating those courses covering subject matter which is taught by other departments at the Cascades Campus. This will allow TOL faculty to concentrate on development and instruction of courses with the TOL-specific content that they are uniquely qualified to plan and deliver.”
