What does the Faculty Senate do? How often do they meet?
The Faculty Senate serves as the representative body of the faculty in the shared governance of the university. It deliberates and votes on policies related to curriculum, academic standards, and other matters that impact the university’s academic mission and operations. The senate typically meets from 3-5pm on the second Thursday of each month during fall, winter, and spring terms. To support engagement from faculty around the state, the senate meets in a hybrid format.
