The Faculty Recognition and Awards Committee formulates policies concerning the recognition of outstanding persons, reviews award nomination packets and selects award recipients, reviews and recommends approval or denial of potential new awards, participates in the selection of the Honorary Doctorate, and makes its recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Faculty Senate. Honorary Doctorate recommendations are forwarded to the Provost’s Office.
The Committee shall consist of six Faculty members, one of whom may be retired, and one Student member.
