Agenda:

1.Change Graduate Major – Teaching – MAT

For our consideration, the MAT program requests a change in final exam policy. For your reference, attached is the final exam change for MCounseling that was approved in the fall.

  1. Revised (final?) Policy on Disallowance of Undergraduate Courses in the Calculation of the Final Graduate Student GPA – further discussion

Calculation of the final cumulative GPA for a graduate student will include all 500, 600 and certain 700-level courses determined to be eligible for use on a graduate program of study. Undergraduate (100 to 400 level) courses taken, even if taken while a graduate student, will not be used in the cumulative GPA calculation. A graduate student is required to attain a 3.0 GPA in all graduate-level coursework, both cumulatively and on the program of study, for graduation.

  1. Proposed Policy on Advisors and Committees for Graduate Students

Theresa Filtz has developed a further revision of a policy on orphan graduate students based on comments received over the past few weeks. Please read through the attached new draft and bring forward any further revisions or concerns for consideration.

Business being carried forward as time allows:

  1. Discussion on Two PhD Degrees and Amount of Overlap
  2. Discussion on Transfer Courses with a Grade of Less Than B
