Welcome and Graduate Council Overview

• Becker-Blease welcomed all to the first Graduate Council meeting of the academic year and members introduced themselves.
• Meetings will likely occur in person once or twice per month during Fall term and the remaining meetings will be via Zoom.
• At this time, Becker-Blease is planning to meet every Tuesday from 10-11AM through June 2023.
• Members should advise Becker-Blease if they will miss a meeting.
• Becker-Blease thanked those who participated in reviewing some proposals during the summer.
• There likely will be a running catalog of proposals being worked on in Box.
• Note the color scheme on the proposals worksheet (which reflects information contained in the Date & Outcome cells):
  • Yellow: Proposals to be discussed at the next Graduate Council Meeting
  • Green: Approved Proposals
  • Orange: Rolled Back Proposals and/or suspended pending additional information
  • White: Future proposals not yet scheduled
• Verbs for Student Learning Outcomes
• Matt Johnston noted that he will need a replacement at the end of fall 2022.
• Vacancies from Veterinary Medicine and Agricultural Sciences still need to be filled.
• John explained how to access proposals to review in both Box and CIM.
