Proposed Application Changes

Committee approval required – will vote/confirm at meeting

  1. Removal of personal reference requirement (speaking with past committee members, this has not historically been used)
  2. Addition of a question to allow students to identify their primary campus (Corvallis, Ecampus, Cascades)
  3. Language regarding class standing- more information/option for students to self-select

At the end of Winter Term 2016, what is your class standing at OSU? Please note the number of credits is based on the total number of credits showing on your current OSU transcript.

  • First Year (1-45 credits)
  • Sophomore (46-89 credits)
  • Junior (90-135 credits)
  • Senior (135 or more credits)

At the end of Winter Term 2016, what is your class standing at OSU?  Please note that your selection here will indicate the pool in which your application materials are evaluated. For example, if you have earned a significant number of AP credits during high school that significantly increases your total credits, but are attending as a freshman, you are welcome to select first year, etc.

  • First Year/Freshman (1-45 credits)
  • Second Year/Sophomore (46-89 credits)
  • Third Year/Junior (90-135 credits)
